Football: Made in Germany

For the German documentary "Football Made in Germany 'Polecam-operators.nl, armed with the Sony A7s and Shogun Atomos recorder went of  to shoot some beautyshots of the empty soccer stadium De Kuip in Rotterdam.


The documentary is about the German national football team and how they got where they are today and the early elimination of the team during Euro 2000 in the Netherlands and Belgium. Reigning European champion Germany was eliminated in the group stage. The match against Portugal on June 20, 2000 in De Kuip in Rotterdam, which the Germans lost by an embarrassing 3-0 defeat meant the end of the careers of many veterans. Following that event the German Football Association
decided to take measures and actively invest in new, young talent.
The documentary will broadcast on Deutsche Welle and later this year on the ARD.
